MSU Bioeconomy Institute Snags State and Federal Funding For Proof of Concept Center

New North Center for Design in Business will help companies with the essential aesthetics and design-process optimization aspects of green product development.
The MSU Bioeconomy Institute operates in a former Pfizer pharmaceutical R&D and pilot plant facility that was re-opened by the University in March 2009, following its donation by the pharmaceutical giant. The 138,000-square-foot facility includes extensive laboratories, a 105-seat auditorium, an atrium, and professional offices.
Twenty companies are expected to work out of the Proof of Concept Center over the course of the grant period.
