Ann Arbor, MI-based Borders Group (NYSE: BGP) said today it has formed a partnership with BookBrewer, a subsidiary of Colorado-based electronic publishing and distribution firm FeedBrewer, to provide an e-publishing service through Borders’ eBook store. Financial terms of the agreement weren’t disclosed. The paid service, which will be available on Oct. 25, will allow writers and bloggers to develop and save content as an ePub file and set their own suggested price (within retailers’ bounds). The e-books will be available on the Apple iPhone and iPad, as well as Google Android-powered tablets and other e-readers like Kobo. The Borders publishing system is an alternative to formatting content for the Amazon Kindle, which my colleague Wade wrote about in detail here.
