Jumptap Confirms $25M Financing for Mobile Ads

Cambridge, MA-based Jumptap, a maker of mobile advertising software, said today it has raised $25 million from new and existing investors. The new investors were not disclosed, but AllianceBernstein, General Catalyst, Redpoint Ventures, Summerhill Ventures, Valhalla Partners, WPP, and Cyber Communications are among the firm’s previous backers. About a month ago, Xconomy (and other outlets) reported a $20 million financing round in progress for Jumptap, based on a regulatory filing. The company was founded in 2004 and most recently raised a $26 million Series D round in 2008. Jumptap specializes in delivering targeted ads to mobile devices. The company says it has added 35 employees so far this year.
