Cambridge Consultants Develops Hydration App

12/16/10

Cambridge Consultants, the product design and development firm in Cambridge, MA, and Cambridge, UK, says it has developed a bottle with wireless sensors and an associated smartphone app that reminds people when to drink fluids. The “i-dration” bottle is equipped with sensors that can detect external temperature, drinking frequency, and the amount of fluid in the bottle. Those data are sent from the bottle wirelessly with Bluetooth technology to a person’s smartphone. The bottle and app aren’t available on the market, but Cambridge Consultants will feature at 2011 International CES in Las Vegas in January.
