Healthrageous Releases Mobile Health App
Boston-based Healthrageous said today that it has launched a mobile app called “h!GO,” which is available to participants of the company’s employer-sponsored online health management plans. The app presents a user with his or her individual health measurements on a handheld device, based on data collected from monitoring devices like wireless blood pressure cuffs and accelerometers, according to the company. It provides automated coaching tips based on the user’s health information, awards for goal attainment, and customized questions about his or her health. The company says that the app is now available to its customers on Blackberry, Droid, and iPhone devices. For now, the app is only activated for users whose employers have sponsored a program from Healthrageous, company spokeswoman Gina Cella said.
