Boston-based startups Where and Peekaboo Mobile said today they have formed a partnership to provide location-based coupons to consumers via mobile phones. Financial terms of the partnership weren’t given, but Peekaboo will use Where’s location-based advertising network to extend its mobile coupon service to a larger sphere of consumers and local merchants. Peekaboo Mobile says it offers exclusive coupons that are redeemable, directly from mobile phones, in 19 states including Massachusetts. Where, which was relaunched in 2007, focuses on local search and location-based mobile services. Last month, the company moved into the location-based daily deals sector with its acquisition of Newburyport, MA-based LocalGinger.
