Spreadshirt CEO Eggers to Leave Firm

Gregory T. Huang8/31/10

Jana Eggers, the chief executive of Spreadshirt, a Leipzig, Germany-based online clothing boutique with North American headquarters in Boston, said today in a blog post that she is leaving the company. Eggers wrote that Spreadshirt has begun an international search for a new CEO, and that she will stay on “for a transition period.” She was the firm’s CEO for more than three years, and served on Spreadshirt’s management board for four years. My colleague Wade profiled Eggers and Spreadshirt in June 2009. The company sells print-on-demand products and personalized apparel including T-shirts, baseball caps, and aprons.

  • Bad news for Spreadshirt but a great opportunity for Boston to grab her for the next assignment. VC’s putting a deal together? Technical founders needing a great leader? Companies who need to really scale now, and/or attack international markets? Don’t miss this chance.
