The day-long Xconomy Summit on Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship is just 13 days from today. To help build some buzz around the event, we’re inviting local entrepreneurs and other members of the Boston innovation community to our office for free pizza today (Friday) at high noon.

The pizza will be compliments of Za, a hip and much-needed new addition to the Kendall Square dining scene. Za started out in Arlington, MA, and opened its Third Street branch in Kendall Square this spring.

As our guest of honor, we’re pleased to welcome John Harthorne, founder and CEO of MassChallenge, the $1 million global startup competition launched last month in Boston. Harthorne will be taking part in one of the highlights of XSITE—the “Angel Tsunami” panel led by Lead Dog Ventures founder John Landry, where we’ll explore the blooming phenomenon of angel and micro-VC investing in technology startups.

If you’ve got a startup idea, the pizza lunch will be your chance to ask Harthorne how the MassChallenge competition works and how you can enter. We’re also expecting a few other special guests, including Michael Greeley of Flybridge Capital Partners, who is spearheading the 12 x 12 effort to match up startup entrepreneurs in Massachusetts with experienced mentors.

If you think you can come, just shoot us a note at editors@xconomy.com, so we can plan how many pizzas to serve.

Xconomy is located just outside Kendall Square at 101 Rogers Street, Suite 402, in the Foundry Works building on Rogers Street between Third and Fourth. When you get here, buzz us on the intercom, go up the half-flight of stairs, follow the winding hallway to the elevator, and head up to the fourth floor.
