Providence Geek Dinner

Providence Geeks, a Rhode Island innovation group, is using this month’s Geek Dinner as a book launch party. Why? Because at May’s Geek Dinner, web and mobile app strategist Jonathan Stark met Providence Geeks co-founder Brian Jepson, who also happens to be a senior editor at O’Reilly Media, a publisher and source on innovation and technology trends. Stark pitched his idea for a book on iPhone app development, and eight months later his title, Building iPhone Apps with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, published by O’Reilly, is soon to be on shelves.
