Akamai Guy—Tom Leighton, co-founder and chief scientist at Cambridge, MA-based Akamai, argued that the performance a company gets out of cloud services is only as good as the network connecting the company to its cloud providers’ data centers. He described Akamai’s ability to optimize network routing paths between cloud-computing users and cloud resources.
