Ryan, who is leaving her post as chief executive at Boston University spin-out Waltham Technologies, is also the former CEO of Needham, MA-based Avant Immunotherapeutics (now Celldex Therapeutics). She tells the Globe that one of her plans for Diagnostics for All, which develops paper-based diagnostics for the developing world based on technology from the Harvard lab of chemist George Whitesides, is to start a for-profit company to market the nonprofit group’s tests in the developed world.
