SimpleTuition, a startup headquartered in Newton, MA, that helps college students apply for state and federal loans, announced today that it has acquired TuitionCoach, a San Mateo, CA-based website that provides personalized financial guidance for college students and their families. SimpleTuition, which closed a $6 million Series C funding round in January 2009 with backing from Atlas Venture, Flybridge Capital Partners, and North Hill Ventures, didn’t reveal the terms of the deal.
