Nexx Systems Gets Next $4M

Nexx Systems, a Billerica, MA-based maker of equipment used in the metallization and packaging of silicon wafers used in both electronics and photovoltaic applications, has raised $4 million in a sale of convertible preferred stock, according to a November 13 regulatory filing. The funds for the eight-year-old firm came from existing investors Enterprise Partners Venture Capital and Sigma Partners, Nexx officials told Dow Jones VentureWire.
