Wind Power Holdings Aims to Raise $45M

Wade Roush10/23/09

[Corrected 3:35 p.m 10/23/09] Wind Power Holdings, the parent company of Barre, VT-based wind turbine developer Northern Power Systems, intends to raise $45 million in a new private equity offering, according to regulatory documents filed October 21. [A previous version of this news brief stated that the company had already raised the funds; in fact the regulatory filing merely states its intention to do so.] We profiled Northern Power Systems, which raised more than $50 million last year from Boston-based venture firm RockPort Capital Partners and New York investment bank Allen & Company, in June.
