EMC Seeds Its Cloud Offerings, Acquires FastScale Technology

Hopkington, MA-based information storage and management company EMC announced today that it has acquired FastScale Technology, a Santa Clara, CA, provider of software platforms and applications for enterprises. EMC said in a statement that the acquisition will strengthen its cloud computing capabilities by dramatically increasing “the performance and scalability of private cloud infrastructures.” Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
