Robert Buderi8/4/09

Wilmington, MA-based Advanced Electron Beams has raised $14.2 million in a Series C round of financing, the company announced today. AEB, whose compact electron beam technology is employed to initiate chemical reactions in various industrial processes, says it will use the money to accelerate sales growth and develop new applications designed to enable energy-efficient manufacturing. The latest financing was led by Flagship Ventures of Cambridge, MA, and includes previous investors Agman Partners, Atlas Venture, GE, General Catalyst Partners, and RockPort Capital Partners. AEB says it has now raised more than $50 million since the fall of 2005.
