Luke Timmerman7/23/09

Augmenix, a Waltham, MA-based medical device developer, has raised $4.7 million out of an equity round potentially worth $7.5 million, according to a regulatory filing. The company is attempting to develop the first synthetic material to put space between tissues, so that radiation treatments for prostate cancer don’t damage healthy tissue nearby, according to the company’s website.
