Carbon Design Systems Raised $7.5M
Wade Roush 5/26/09
Amended documents filed with federal regulators last week show that a 2007 Series E financing round for Acton, MA-based Carbon Design Systems, which sells a software platform used by designers of combined hardware and software systems to build virtual prototypes, brought in $7.5 million rather than the $6 million reported in a filing that year. Local VC firms Commonwealth Capital Ventures, Flagship Ventures, and Matrix Partners were among the investors in the round. Carbon Design Systems was founded in 2002. CEO Richard Lucier did not immediately respond to a request for clarification about the amended filing.
