Wade Roush5/20/09

Cambridge, MA-based Stylefeeder, which runs an online personalized shopping recommendation service, has raised $500,000 in additional venture capital, founder Philip Jacob confirmed today after word of the funding surfaced in regulatory documents published May 12. Stylefeeder’s existing investors, Highland Capital Partners and Schooner Capital, provided the funding, which brings the company’s total venture pot to $4 million. Jacob told Xconomy that Stylefeeder is profitable and hiring, and that the new funding is “basically just cushion money.”
