Andover, MA-based SeeWhy makes “abandonment tracking” tools that websites can use to reconnect with Web visitors who leave before consummating a purchase or finishing an online form, application, or registration. Today the company announced that it has connected with new investor Scottish Enterprise and existing investors Logispring, Pentech Ventures, and Delta Partners to add $4.5 million to its coffers. The company also released a free version of its abandonment tracking software, which e-mails identifying information for website abandoners to website operators. At the same time, SeeWhy said it has opened a data center and R&D office in Edinburgh, Scotland—which may explain the Scottish Enterprise investment.
