DOE Award for QD Vision

Watertown, MA-based QD Vision, which makes solid-state lighting devices based on nanotech “quantum dot” technology, said today it has been awarded $700,000 from the U.S. Department of Energy for a joint R&D project with MIT electrical engineering professor Marc Baldo. The project’s goal is to make organic light emitting diodes more power-efficient and pleasing in appearance, the company said.
