PE Fund Acquires M/A-COM

Lowell, MA-based wireless chipmaker M/A-COM Technology Solutions, formerly a unit of UK-based Cobham, has been acquired by John Ocampo, owner of GaAs Labs, a California private equity fund specializing in semiconductor companies, M/A-COM announced today. Ocampo paid $30 million in cash and $30 million in senior loan notes, and could pay up to $30 million more depending on M/A-Comes future revenues.
