Microsoft to Roll Out Retail Stores

Gregory T. Huang 2/12/09

Microsoft announced today it is going forward with plans to open retail stores. Leading the charge will be a new hire, vice president David Porter, who hails from DreamWorks Animation SKG and before that, Wal-Mart. The move is seen as an attempt to compete with Apple stores, in order to sell software and devices to more consumers.
