It sounds like a great experience.

I have been to the original molten metals facility in Fall River, MA back in the early 90's. Similar Technology, different use. At that time is was used for destroying toxic waste (PCB's, and Dioxins).

My team at SPEC Process Engineering and Construction designed and built the Aspen Aerogels East Providence Site. It is a really impressive operation there. Chris Marlette (the PM from Aspen) and his team of engineers did a really good job of putting it together with our Team.

We have worked for some of the clean-tech companies in the list too but Aspen was the most complicated.

Mahesh (and classmates):

Thanks for recapping your visits. Great reinforcement that innovation in energy/clean tech is flourishing in the region...a bright spot in an otherwise difficult economy. If you're planning future visits, please don't hesitate to contact me and well arrange for you to spend time with Boston-Power execs (next-gen Li-ion batteries). Just closed $55M in Series D, announced HP as customer in December, etc. They'd enjoy sharing thoughts...Cheers.
