Ryan McBride 12/17/08
Yale University president Richard Levin revealed in this letter yesterday that the New Haven, CT, university’s endowment was valued at an estimated $17 billion, down an about 25 percent from June 30, 2008. The letter follows Harvard University’s announcement earlier this month that its endowment lost more than $8 billion, or 22 percent, of its June 30 value of $36.9 billion.
