Ryan McBride 12/2/08

Vestas Wind Systems, a Danish wind turbine maker, reports that it plans to open an R&D center at an undisclosed location in the western suburbs of Boston, where it will develop generators, converters, and control technologies for future wind turbines. The company says that the core staff of the R&D hub will come from ePower, a Lunenburg, MA-based developer of motor technologies and power systems, which Vestas recently acquired for an undisclosed sum.
