The Rise of Advertising Networks: Aggregating & Selling Audiences

10/28/08
5:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Stata Center (MIT Bldg. 32) Kirsch Auditorium, 32 Vassar Street, Cambridge, MA

The MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge sponsors a panel discussion on Web-based advertising. From the event site: “The Web is becoming increasingly distributed across proliferating publishers, leaving advertisers with the challenge of reaching a fragmented audience. Enter the advertising networks, which have recently re-emerged to take a growing portion of these online ad dollars. Join our keynote panel of thought-leaders from both the agencies and ad networks to explore the ramifications of these trends. What are the new economics for those involved in the ad inventory value chain? How will behavioral and other targeting methods affect publishers and consumers? What is the future role of ad exchanges in the ecosystem?”

Moderator: Don Dodge, Director Business Development, Emerging Business Team, Microsoft Corporation. Panelists: Don Belanger, VP Agency Development, Yahoo!; Daniel Jaye, President of Tacoda, formerly CTO of Engage and CMGI; Michael Troiano, CEO of Matchmine, formerly CEO of Oglivy & Mather Interactive; David Cooperstein, Chief Marketing Officer, Burst Media.
