Turbine Powers Up West Coast Office

Wade Roush 10/14/08

Westwood, MA-based video game developer Turbine announced Monday that it will open a new studio in Redwood City, CA. The company, best known for creating the massively multiplayer online game The Lord of the Rings Online, said opening a Bay Area office would allow it to tap into the large pool of game development talent on the West Coast. The new studio’s creative director will be Dave Brevik, co-founder of Flagship Studios and a former director at Blizzard Entertainment, creators of the World of Warcraft franchise.
