Wade Roush10/1/08

Kenet, a six-year-old semiconductor design company based in Woburn, MA, will be acquired by Milpitas, CA-based semiconductor manufacturer Intersil (NASDAQ: ISIL), the larger company announced today. Kenet designs dies for low-power analog-to-digital data conversion for devices such as software-defined radios. Intersil, which did not disclose the amount it’s paying for Kenet, said the acquisition would give the company access to new markets.
