Needham, MA-based Prism VentureWorks is the lead investor in an $11 million Series B venture financing round for Guard ID Systems, a fraud prevention company in San Mateo, CA, the company announced yesterday. GuardID makes ID Vault, a USB device for consumer PCs that stores encrypted personal data such as credit card numbers and brokerage account passwords and isolates the data from malware and phishing sites.
