Bottomline Buys Optio for $45M

Portsmouth, NH-based Bottomline Technologies (NASDAQ:EPAY), a provider of invoice, payment, and document automation software for banks and other financial institutions, announced today that it has reached a deal to add Alpharetta, GA-based Optio Software to its own bottom line for $44.9 million. Optio makes software to improve “the efficiency of document-intensive processes,” according to a statement.
