Biotech Bill Headed for Senate

Rebecca Zacks 2/29/08

The Massachusetts House has passed its version of the 10-year, $1 billion life sciences bill by a vote of 134 to 13. The provisions of the bill, which largely mirror Governor Deval Patrick’s original plans for the biotech initiative, include $250 million for tax credits, $250 million for research grants, and $500 million in bonds for capital projects.
