Mapping CleanTech Startups

Robert Buderi2/26/08Leave a Comment

Earth2Tech, a Giga Omni Media site tracking energy technology news (from what I can gather), has posted an interesting map of 101 cleantech startups around the globe, with key stats—investors, year formed, technology sector—broken out for each firm.

The map is heavily Valley-oriented, as Earth2Tech admits. Indeed, only a handful of New England firms are listed. If you’d like a more local view, our Greater Boston Innovation Map, published early this year (and still being filled in), shows the locations of about a dozen clean-energy companies in this region. And in December, the MIT Entrepreneurship Center released a map pinpointing an amazing 725 companies in the cluster.
