VMware Nosedive on No News We Could Find

Robert Buderi1/7/08

On a flat morning for the Dow, shares of EMC subsidiary VMware (NASDAQ:VMW) took a 10 percent-plus nosedive this morning before recovering a bit, on no news that we could find. VMware is set to release its fourth quarter results on January 28. The stock hit a low of $71.66 this morning, off nearly $9, before recovering to about $74 (down roughly $6.50, or 8 percent) a little after 11 a.m.
