Your title for the post is good also - noting that its one way to meet the new CAFE standards and as long as we keep acknowledging that there may be multiple solutions. I've done some work with the AAM and establishing these new standards that we all agree on is a good first step and I think its also good that the manufacturers are working together on this too.
