This story does not address the issue of the most efficient way to produce algae. The water could be treated with magnets and frequencies which would keep minerals in solution, and off of roots.(more rapid growth) The failure to harvest in a timely manner, overshadowed the positive growth volume.

I would very much like to invest in this company on a very low level. I think the science behind this is fabulous and that all the greenies should get behind it. Not only can you get fuel from the stuff but you can drink it if you get a twisted urge. Absolutely filled with nutrients! Talk about a incredible closed system, totally win win and who cares if it costs more, pretty soon, gas will be too expensive for the average person to afford anyway!

Why am I not surprised?
Maybe because I saw it coming months ago...

Oh, why, why is there no mechanism to short VC-backed companies built on iffy premises...

GreenFuel took their employees to Lanes n Games the same day we were there team-building. They rented half of the upstairs lanes, built morale through bowling, and then laid off half their staff? Whoa, that was harsh! At least they had way better snacks than we did!

Bob Metcalfe confirms his bowling outing, apparently a morale-building escape for GreenFuel employees, and reports that he bowled the high score of the day, at 192.

I knew something was up when I saw Metcalfe out bowling at Lanes & Games on Thursday with a crew from GreenFuel. (I almost didn't recognize him, though---he has lost a ton of weight!)
