Knut Simonsen

Knut Simonsen is an officer of DTE Energy (NYSE: DTE), a Fortune 250 diversified energy company involved in the development and management of energy-related businesses and services nationwide. He leads corporate strategy, M&A and new business growth for DTE Energy, which includes DTE Energy Ventures – a clean technology investment group.

Prior to DTE Energy, Mr. Simonsen was a management consultant for McKinsey & Company in Texas where he served energy clients in both Oil & Gas and the Utility space, a project manager in alternative energy for Texaco in New York, and an energy banker for Den Norske Bank in New York.

Mr. Simonsen earned a bachelor of science degree in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University, and a master of business administration degree from Columbia University with a concentration in finance.
