John Santini

Dr. John Santini is a life science executive, entrepreneur, and scientist that has spent his career focused on the creation and growth of businesses developing advanced drug delivery and biosensor products. As President & CEO of On Demand Therapeutics, Inc. (ODTx), Dr. Santini is leading the development of a physician controlled drug therapy product for the treatment of retinal diseases such as wet age-related macular degeneration. Prior to ODTx, he led the development of wireless, implantable drug delivery and biosensor devices as President & CEO of MicroCHIPS, Inc. Dr. Santini is a recognized expert in the application of microtechnology in healthcare and has over 100 patents and patent applications. He has been honored as one of Popular Science Magazine's "Brilliant Ten" and one of the Top 100 Young Innovators in the world by Technology Review Magazine, and his work resulted in a Technology Pioneer award from the World Economic Forum (Davos, Switzerland) and a Gold Medal from the Edison Awards in the Science and Medical, Game Changers category. Dr. Santini obtained his PhD in chemical engineering from MIT as a National Science Foundation Fellow and his BSE in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan.
